Astro Anarchy, now in Facebook
I have opened a Facebook account, you are welcome to follow my addiction to astronomical imaging!
I will publish my new material here in my blog, as usual. In addition, I'll update my Facebook status regularly. My Facebook pages are not so much for personal information but they'll work as a publishing channel for my astronomical images.
I'll start to post new material in mid-September, when we'll have enough astronomical darkness.
Before that, I'll publish some of my experiments with older material.

An exhibition, Astro Anarchy get published
An photographic exhibition, 28.05 - 31.08. in Oulu, Finland
Every day between 9.00 - 18.00 in Terveystalo, ODL, Albertinkatu 16
This is a joint exhibition with my friend Esa Jormakka, an orthopedic doctor and nature photographer.
Opening day was at 28.05. 2012 in my home town Oulu. A private hospital, Terveystalo, offered the bottom floor for exhibition area. It's a great place, with lots of natural light, at very center of city. If you'll like to take a visit, the address is Albertinkatu 16. The exhibition will be open whole Summer up to 31.08.2012, every day between 9.00-18.00

The artwork at center is about 1,8 meters high and 1,1 wide ( 6 x 3,7 feet)
High wall of main lobby, with panoramic images, the top most artwork is Four meters long. (13,3 feet)
The Moon, center image is 2,5 meters long. (8,3 feet)
Both images are 1,5 meters long ( 5 feet)

Ones again, it's over
I feel sad to say good bye for my addiction for nearly a six months.
Astronomical darkness will end at 08.04. officially but at the moment we have only couple of hours darkness so there is not much point to do any long exposure imaging any more. Here, at 65N, we'll have next dark night at 06.09. 2012 and just for about two hours.

Tools used
I shot everything in this imaging period with my camera lenses. At first with the Tokina AT-X 300 f2.8 and most of the images with Canon EF 200mm f1.8, after I managed to fix the orthogonality issue between the CCD and the lens. All images was taken with QHY9, a cooled astro camera, and Baader narrowband filter set. (H-a, O-III and S-II)
Summer time
I will update my blog regulatory during the Summer season though. I have considered about renting a remote operating scope now and then, if I'll find funds for it. An naturally I will publish my experiments too and fine tune equipment's and work flow.

At end of the Spring season I had my first exhibition about astronomical imaging in Oulu Museum of Art.
There was about twenty or so large framed prints to see and one lecture for interested. I have hardly any images of the event, here are some bad ones with mobile phone... Unlike seen in images, there was actually lots of visitors.

My most published image, in past season, was the "Cosmic curiosity", or "?", as I named it originally.
It get printed in several Finnish news papers and online news and it was one of the "Space Picture of the week" by National Geography magazine.

Astro Anarchy gets published, again...
SPACE PICTURE OF THE WEEK, second in row...
National Geographic published my picture of Simeis 147, the "Expansive Nebula", as one of the Space pictures of the Week, Today 24.02. Actually this is a second one in two weeks, I'm kind of shocked...

At Fridays APOD, Feb. 10. 2012, NASA writers used my experimental 3D-stereo pair of NGC 6752 as a reference.

Astro anarchy gets published
My image of the "Wizard Nebula", NGC 7380, get published in the Discovery Magazine.
In October 2011 issue, there is an article about multiverse, and they did use my image with it. Images can be found from a table of content , page 2, and in the story, page 31.
